Mondrian Exhibition Vittoriano
Mondrian Exhibition Vittoriano
A monographic exhibition dedicated to the notable Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, entitled The perfect Armony, is on programme at the Vittoriano Complex in Rome from October 7th to January 29th, 2012.
At the Mondrian exhibition in Rome you can admire some of the most famous paintings of the artist, who was one of the founding father of abstractionism at the beginning of the XX century, as well as an important representative of neo-plasticism.
In his artistic evolution, which lasted over 30 years, Mondrian endorses the idea according to which art didn't have to represent reality, but could enjoy indeed its own autonomy.
Among the artworks on show at the Mondrian exhibition in Rome you will find his famous paintings in which he drew horizontal and vertical straight lines defining squares and rectangles coloured with primary colours: blue, red, yellow, white and black.
Mondrian sought to catch the most expressive elements of painting: lines, colours, shapes, and to reduce them to the essential.
Prices and timetable of Mondrian exhibition at the Vittoriano in Rome are still to be defined.
