Botero From 10 July to 1 October 2024

Rome celebrates the extraordinary work of Fernando Botero

Curated by the artist’s daughter, Lina Botero, the exhibition winds through a series of suggestive places in the city, offering visitors a pleasant immersion in the universe of Botero, known for his generous forms and for his unique vision of the world.

Lina Botero, presenting the exhibition, stressed that her father’s work is a "permanent celebration of life", capable of arousing joy even in the most difficult moments. Quoting the famous artist, he recalled that "art must produce pleasure above all" and that for Botero the greatest gift was to see the smile on the face of those who admired his creations.

This exhibition, the first of many planned in the future, is a commitment by the family and the Fernando Botero Foundation to keep alive the priceless artistic heritage that the artist left behind.
